Duct Tape Prom

2.2
The students of Swainsboro High School took on a monumental project this year; for their prom, they wore tuxes, dresses and adornments made almost entirely out of duct tape.
The purpose of such a wardrobe malfuction was to participate in a contest--Duck Brand Duct Tape's "Stuck at Prom" competition. The winners could receive up to $3,000 in scholarship money, although all the duct tape did cost just short of $4,000. The school's art club helped fundraise for the "materials."
This year, 80 students participated, up from 25 last year.

  1. I'm thoroughly impressed with the designs these kids made with just duct tape. I guess it genuinely is one of those things that everyone needs for every purpose. An interesting challenge, I suppose. But, I have to laugh at the whole spend more than you earn concept. Did the money go to the collective group or the best dressed?
