700 swimmers were in a big race. A hammer head shark started surrounding them and they didn't t know a thing about it. The coast guards didn't try to get the swimmers out but diverted the sharks away from them. "There was a second shark swimming under them that could not be seen..." I think that would be bad if there was a shark following me swimming in the water.

Yes, admittedly that would be quite frightening; however, I believe the Coast Guard did the right thing by diverting the sharks. If they had tried to pull the swimmers out, this could have created mass panic, and led to a potential panic response by the sharks which would have led to disaster. Where can we get more info on this story? What is the link?
