2.5 Johnny

When reading Hannah's post about how The Wizard of Oz refers to the Progressive Movement of the late 1800s, I remembered a small project that we did very recently in my Government Civics class. It was roughly based around the same topic, we had to watch The Wizard of Oz and do a packet of questions on it about how the story represented the Progressive Movement. The information backing up the claim is quite convincing, and I believe that the author of The Wizard of Oz was directly referring to this section of our nations history when writing this seemingly innocent story.
